Katy Perry was super excited to share that she and fiancé Orlando Bloom are expecting their first child together but was the baby planned or not? The singer revealed the answer during a new interview!

As fans know, the pair is yet to walk down the aisle but that’s not to say the baby news took them by surprise like it did the rest of the world.

According to the artist, she and Orlando were ready for this step in their relationship after being together for no less than three years.

It turns out that the wedding can wait but the baby fever couldn’t!

While Katy is pregnant for the first time, this will make the actor a father of two since he also has a 9 year old son named Flynn with his former wife, Miranda Kerr.

While a guest on SiriusXM Hits 1 earlier today, Katy shared that ‘Well, it wasn’t an accident. It was like you know, I’m so grateful everything I have been able to do an achieve, and all of the goals I have been able to check off my list, and the dreams, and life I have lived thus far.’

Furthermore, Katy also shared how she got ready for pregnancy by adopting a more balanced and healthy lifestyle.

‘I just think I’ve been trying to create this space in my own life where I’m not running too ragged and creating space for something new to just happen like this. I think we were looking forward to this new interval of life and to sharing this. That is kind of how it happens, you know,’ she dished.

The mother to be confirmed the news in her music video for Never Wore White by including a scene at the end of the clip which shows her cradling her baby bump.

And that was not all! She also took to Instagram Live to put it into very clear words, telling fans that she will be ‘giving birth this summer, literally.’
